Do: Choose a quality tea

With so many options available, there is no reason to settle for low quality, dusty tea bags. (That said, not all tea bags are created equal - try loose leaf pyramid bags if you're looking for quality without compromising on convenience). It's quite simple: The better quality tea, the better quality brew, along with health benefits.

Don't: Use boiling water for green tea

When you use boiling water, you risk burning the tea leaves which can create a bitter, astringent taste. Yuck! Simply boil your water, let the water settle for 90 seconds, then pour away. What your left with is the perfect cup of green tea.

Do: Drink tea before a meal

It's best to wait 20-30 minutes after your brew before eating. The proteins from your food are not well absorbed by your body when you drink tea right after you eat. Waiting those precious minutes not only helps mitigate the risk of discomfort, though it can help suppress your hunger so that you don't overeat, or curb those snack cravings.

Don't: Over-steep your tea leaves

Steeping for too long can create an unfavourable taste, therefore a less enjoyable experience. Just follow the directions to avoid a disappointing brew.

Do: Use an air proof container for tea storage

In order to maintain the proper taste and flavor of the tea for a long time, you should deposit it in sealed containers. Same as with the mug, only use the container for tea. (See more on this below) You can take advantage of this rule by shopping for cute containers to match your kitchen or purchasing our large, attractive & stackable tea tins.

Don't: Forget to use a special tea mug

It is a known fact that people feel better when they drink something from their favorite cup, but don’t drink tea from your coffee cup, as you can deteriorate the flavor of the tea. Why not have two favorite mugs, one for coffee, and one for tea.

Do: Remember the best tea pairing:

Tea & great conversation with your TeaFF. Are you getting out enough and spending time with your friends/loved ones? What better way to connect over tea time.

Don't: Rush your tea drinking

Take your time! Unlike the grab and go culture of coffee, tea is a great opportunity to sit down, relax, and enjoy your cup over a moment of reflection and calm. There is no better mindful pick me up in today's constant chaotic world.

Thank you for pointing out over steeping! Nothing more unpalatable than tea that’s been steeped forever…or they never take out the tea bag/strain the tea. Nasty.
