4 Self Care Valentine's Day Activities

Whether you're in a relationship or not, Valentine's Day is a wonderful reminder to nurture your relationship with yourself. These self care activities are a great way to show yourself a little extra love this month.

1. DIY Aromatherapy Bath

Aromatherapy can be used to ease stress, support relaxation, and heighten your senses. A DIY aromatherapy bath is a fragrant alternative to the typical bath bomb or epson salt soaks we're used to. Simply toss 1-2 of our pyramid tea bags straight into the tub for easy clean up, or try sprinkling loose herbs and flower petals for a luxurious soak. We recommend Golden Slumbers for a calming soak or Midnight Mint for a soothing muscle release.

2. Journal with a Calming Blend

Journaling is a powerful way to connect with yourself and become more self-aware. Spending an hour with a calming blend (like our Self Care Elixir) and your notebook can foster a deeper self connection.

Here are some of our favourite journal prompts to get started:

  • What’s a commitment I can make to love myself every day?
  • What do I struggle to love most about myself? What can I do to begin to love that part of myself?
  • Write down 5 positive affirmations.
  • What activities, habits, or people make me feel unhappy? Can I let them go?
  • How can I support myself today?
  • What boundaries do I need to set for myself?

3. Self Care Beauty Time

When the busyness of life gets in the way, setting aside time for your favourite beauty rituals can be a great way to show yourself love. Light some candles, play your favourite music, and take time to care for yourself. We love a good face mask (like our Clarifying Matcha Mask with peppermint!), Earl Grey Body Scrub for glowing and soft skin, and a DIY mani or pedi.

4. Buy Yourself A Gift

Many of us forget to treat ourselves throughout the year. Try buying yourself a gift this month, no matter how small. Whether you love fresh cut flowers, scented candles, or you've been eyeing a new book, buy yourself something to show yourself a little extra love.
