The Cultivating Herstory Project (CHS) was founded in 2012 to challenge stereotypes circulating young women of colour in Jane-Finch, Toronto. Since then, the focus has shifted to servicing youth across North York, Toronto, to build cultural knowledge, help recognize the importance of young women of colour and their role in shaping a community, and equipping this group with employable skills and knowledge to support their aspirations in life.
The Women’s College Hospital Foundation is a Toronto-based hospital that plays a lead role in women’s health both locally and internationally.
"Empowering women to improve their quality of life through a program of individualized
support and transitional housing."
We are honoured to be affiliated with the Jubilee house. In 2000, the year of jubilee, a group of people from various churches and community groups met to discuss a “Jubilee” project. The group felt that one of the most pressing needs within the community of Orillia was for transitional housing for homeless women and their children.
