Ottawa, ONT- This month, Tease Tea focuses on Immigration Women's Services Ottawa for our monthly charity donations.

Each month Tease Tea chooses an organization to donate and focus on for the betterment, and empowerment of women and girls.

Immigration Women's Services Ottawa is special because they provide a much needed space for women to transition into their new lives.

They "create opportunities for women as they integrate and settle into a new society, rebuild their lives after violence and achieve their personal goals. Every year, over 2,000 women and their children are helped by IWSO’s dedicated and talented staff who are assisted by volunteers." Moving to a new country, often a new continent is a huge change for any woman. Add on top of that cultural and language differences, and that is where Immigration Women's Services steps in.

Some of the services IWSO provide:

  • Free language Interpretation
  • Help women who have been involved with sex trafficking, domestic and sexual violence and abuse
  • Child Care
  • Counseling Services
  • Immigration Services
  • Job placement help
  • Computer Training

A portion of our proceeds from Tease's website sales will go directly toward this much needed organization that helps women make their lives better one step at a time, with no added cost to them, in a time when they need it most.
